Jon started out in the construction trades as a carpet and tile installer, working mostly in commercial spaces. In the mid 1990s, he bought an 1890 Victorian duplex that, looking back, probably should have been condemned. Bit by bit, he restored or reproduced nearly every flat surface in the house, realizing along the way that home restoration, carpentry and remodeling was what he really enjoyed doing.
